Image-Based Environment Perception for Cognitive Technical Systems

چکیده
The fundamental basis of any cognitive system is perception all reasoning is based on it. In the past, a lot of research has been done to achieve a sophisticated environment model. However, most of the approaches are based on geometrical reconstruction, which is not sufficient for several scenarios. In this paper, we investigate image-based localization and environment modeling to provide a robust and accurate perception from a single camera. Experiments furnish proof for high pose accuracy and realistic modeling. Further, some application scenarios and preliminary results within these applications are presented.
